At the beginning of the month I had the pleasure of getting my hair cut and coloured at a Francesco Group Salon in Ringwood. I almost fell off my seat when I read an email asking if I would like to review my nearest salon and I still couldn’t believe it even when I was sat there getting my hair done.
It had been almost 10 years since I had been to a hairdresser and walking in the salon I had the same pit in my stomach feeling I usually get when I go to ther dentist or a new place. But as soon as I met Dan, a senior stylist, and we sat down for my consultation I felt more at ease. The consultation was for us to discuss my hair, how it is now, what I use on it and also how it fits into my daily life. Dan also did a hair diagnostic and asked me a few more questions to find out what products would be best used on my locks. We then chatted about what I would like done to my hair, I wanted to keep the length and asked if he could just chop off the dead ends. I also mentioned that I didn’t what an all over colour as I was trying to keep the root regrowth going. I showed Dan a photo from pinterest of hair that had a full head of highlights, some icy and other lighter tones.
After our chat Dan showed me upstairs to the salon and I instantly loved how high the ceiling was up there, it was so bright and airy. I’ve been in salons before and they’ve been so dark and dingey. So straight away I was relaxed and ready to have my Francesco Group experience. Dan sat me in a seat off to the side and he got started with brushing through my hair and then began the highlights. We started chatting straight away and he made me feel at ease and before I knew it he’d done the full head and I was then sat under one of those funky heaters to let the hair process. I was offered a coffee and some magazines to read whilst I waited.
About 20 minutes later Dan came back to check on my hair and was happy with the result, he showed me to the sinks and I got to sit in an incredibly comfortable chair, which also made me feel so tiny. Dan washed, toned and conditioned my hair, the part I remember the most was the head massaging and nothing makes me more relaxed, I could have fallen asleep. I then went back and sat in the salon chair and Dan continued to work his magic, he only cut off the dead ends of my hair as I requested and then dried and styled my hair with curls, my signature look. Before I left Dan gave me a few samples of shampoo, conditioner and silver shampoo which was icing on the cake after such a wonderful afternoon and we also got a cheeky snap together.
I left the Francesco Group Salon in Ringwood feeling incredibly happy with my hair, it felt and looked absolutely amazing. The multi tonal colours have given my hair new life and it will now grow out looking a lot more natural which is what I wanted.
Thank you for the Francesco Group for allowing me to review their wonderful salon in Ringwood, it was truly a wonderful experience. One thing stood out to me that Dan told me was that they really listen to what their customers want, how their hair can fit into their lifestyle and taking the time to give them a cut or colour, or both, that they are happy with. This made me feel a lot more relaxed about going to the hairdresser and especially this specific salon and company. I will definitely be going back in the new year for a refresh, I’ll have to save up first though! haha!
