Boots Botanics Micellar Water

 botanics micellar water – boots
I never bought into the micellar water hype last year, I’ve always been a make up remover wipes kinda girl, fuss free, quick and easy, they do the job. A few weeks ago I was looking for the Rimmel make up remover that I used to use many years ago, but my local boots had none. That’s when I came across the Botanics micellar water and thought why not give it a try and see what the fuss is all about, to be honest the price swayed me, it was super cheap at a 1/3rd off. Unfortunately the offer isn’t on anymore but it is part of their 3 for 2.
Upon first using this I wasn’t blown away, I ended up using loads of cotton pads which instantly puts me off, I hate waste. Anyway I then stopped using it for a few days and then gave it a go again and this time I read the instructions … See I’m the kind of person who hates instructions too, so my first time was a big fail.
I left the pads on my eyes for a few moments, as instructed, and
then wiped away, this micellar water took my makeup off so effortlessly in one swoop. I think I used four cotton pads in total, yay less waste! This contains hibiscus which has natural exfoliators in, which help keep the skin smoother and brighter. I can certainly see that it does, I love how smooth my skin feels after using it. I’m not sure how bright it makes it as I’m usually taking my makeup off late at night in a slight daze.
I really love the Botanics packaging, it’s always so minimal but pretty and it makes me think that I’m being kind to my skin using their products, is that silly or is that good marketing?! The smell of this micellar water is floral but understated and it doesn’t linger on the skin too long, if like me you hate strong scents if skincare than this is right up your street.

Beauty Guru in the making?
I think I am a micellar water convert, I will of course still use my face wipes, but I will definitely be reaching for this water most days. I’m on the look out for some different ones to try so please leave me your recommendations below.
Have you tried the Boots Botanics Micellar water?

I use Micellar Water. I'm using the L'Oreal one at the moment. it's great, feels nice on my skin and gets the makeup off. I really wouldn't recommend makeup wipes as they don't really get the makeup off properly, just smudge it all round your face. Apparently makeup wipes contain the same ingredients that those pressure washers have. The ones you see in the street cleaning the gum off the floor. Or so I have been told x

I use Micellar Water but I haven't tried the Boots own version yet so when mine runs out I might have to give this one a go. Got to love a bargain! x

Ooh I may have to try the L'Oreal one next. I use makeup wipes as step one in my night time routine before I wash and cleanse my face. I might stop using them and see if I see a difference in my face. Thanks for the info! 🙂

I have to admit I am not a fan of Micellar water, but I do like Micellar Oil x

I don't use Micellar water either. I prefer to cleanse away make-up and then use a spritzer toner. Tx
