I was recently sent the Fun perfume from Desigual to try out, reading the press release I was so excited to get my hands on a sample, unfortunately I haven’t enjoyed it as much as I hoped, but more into that later. Here’s what Desigual say about their perfumes …
Desigual is the fastest growing fashion brand and have launched their first long awaited fragrances to their collection of striking, bright retro designs. Iconic, unique, daring and determined, the new fragrances, Sex, Love & Fun, bring fashion and perfume together in one beautiful iconic characteristic bottle clearly depicting the brand’s soul.
Fun is described as a spontaneous and refreshing fragrance. The predominant notes are juicy blueberries with nashi pear and white peach. Background notes are exotic passion fruit, violet and peony and base notes of sandalwood and bright teak. The author of this particular fragrance is Christophe Raynaud who has made fragrances for Guerlin and Paco Rabanne.
On the first spray it is very strong but after it settles you do get the mix of fruity and floral scents, I noticed the white peach and peony mostly. However the scent is too overpowering for me, which unfortunately resulted a headache. The staying power is incredible for an Eau De Toilette, it lasts almost as well as a perfume, so not a lot of re-spraying needed. The packaging is lovely, the colours and shape of the bottle would brighten up any dressing table. The bottle also features a cute slogan “have fun every day!” which I really like.
Although I’m not a fan of this perfume I wouldn’t completely discount it for others, I do prefer my woody/oriental scents and more subtle fruity perfumes, but if you like a strong perfume that is not overly sweet I recommend trying it.
