It’s been too long since I made a Body Shop order and I was in desperate need of my skin care essentials. Apart from the usual suspects, I went ahead and bought a few new products to try out as they had one of their 40% off weekends online.
Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream & Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash
I have raved about the seaweed line from the Body Shop on the blog before and have previously reviewed the Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream and the Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash. However the size of the facial wash has changed and for the better as it now comes in a longer lasting 125ml which is such a bonus and they have upgraded the packaging too. I really love the new look, it’s a little more luxurious and spa like.
Onto the new bits I picked up;
Mineral & Ginger Warming Mask
I saw a lot of great reviews on this and I haven’t used a warming mask for so long and I wanted something a little less harsh to put on my face once a week. This is perfect, it warms up when in contact with a wet face and leaves your skin feeling cleansed and unbelievably soft. I love the warm effect, it’s nice and relaxing and the mask itself isn’t uncomfortable on the face so I almost forgot I had it on. I will do a more in depth review after I have used this for a few months but right now I am loving it.
Tea Tree Oil
I have suffered with blackheads on my nose, my chin and also on my cheeks slightly, for as long as I can remember. Nothing I have found has really aided me in removing them or at least shrinking my pores, well a slight fib my PMD personal microderm
does but I only use that once a week. So I decided to pick up a small bottle of tea tree oil, now I have heard you need to be persistent and consistent when applying this, I have been using a cotton pad and a few drops onto it, sweeping it over my problem areas two, three times a day. I have seen a small improvement but nothing ground breaking, once again, in a few months I will report back on how I have got on. I do love the size of bottle though, it’s super cute and easy to pop in your bag and it’s just adorably small.
This isn’t a new purchase but a replacement and I haven’t got round to reviewing this primer yet, which thinking now is weird because usually when I love something I| need to shout about it. I have tried so many primers over the last few years and nothing has come close to the Instablur. It glides on the face leaving a silky base for makeup to go on. This makes my foundation stay on all day, it does not budge! If you aren’t a fan of silicone primers then this isn’t for you.
Have you tried any of the products I have mentioned? Or do you have any recommendations?
