seaweed iconic clay mask, vitamin e moisture cream, satsuma hand cream
A few weeks ago The Body Shop had one of their amazing deals on and I took the opportunity to stock up on my skincare, I grabbed my usual seaweed deep cleansing facial wash and the pore cleansing facial exfoliator and I also pick up a few products I’d been dying to try.
Seaweed Iconic Clay Mask
The first thing that went into my basket immediately was the seaweed iconic clay mask, this has been sold out online for so long, and I keep missing out on ordering it but not this time. It promises to cleanse skin and control excess oil by clarifying and drawing out impurities. I’ve used this a few times already, I’m really impressed so far and have added it to my weekly routine, once I’ve given it a good run I will report back with a more in depth review.
Vitamin E Moisture Cream
I normally use the seaweed day moisturiser but fancied a change this time which is why I went for the vitamin E day cream. One thing I noticed straight away was the smell, it reminds me of how my Nana smells and my Mum. The winter months dry out my skin terribly and I’ve also been getting a few more spots than usual (I’ve not been using my PMD, *slaps own wrists*) and they’ve been particularly dry but this has quenched my skin’s thirst. The cream is a lot thinner than I though and it sinks in super quick, which is helpful when your in a rush to get your make up on in the morning. Once again I will reviewing this once I’ve used it a few months.
Satsuma Hand Cream
This is another product I’d been wanting to try for a long time but unfortunately the only things I like about it are the packaging and the smell. It isn’t as moisturising as I had hoped but it does sink in nicely/ I don’t know why but I really love hand creams in the weird foil packaging, it feels fancier than the plastic ones. The scent of this hand cream is out of this world, it’s smells just like you squished a satsuma and it just unbelievably fresh. One of the guys at work said he knows where I’ve been or when I’m coming because all he can smell is oranges!
Now onto the second part of new in which are pretty bargainous. After I watched Tanya Burr’s video about her amazing Glamour magazine shoot I knew I had to pick it up for that reason and even more so when I walked into the shop and saw they where giving readers mini Clinique products. Of course the blogger in me meant I had to pick up two copies so I can test out one lipstick, which I got in the colour nude pop which is a gorgeous brownie nude and then their high impact mascara in black. I can’t wait to try them both out and maybe grab the other two products which are the lipstick cherry pop and the dramatically different moisturizing lotion. I think I will do a separate post on these too, I’ve said that after nearly all the things I bought but I will.
Have you picked up anything from the body shop lately?
