I was fast running out of a face base and heard that Avon’s Ideal Flawless Foundation is pretty good and that their shades go very light. Being NC15 in MAC, for reference, means I find it terribly hard to get very pale foundation. I usually end up being a few shades darker which means I have to tan, not now because I picked up their lightest shade, light pink. I really love the consistency of this foundation, it blends so well into the skin and makes it feel so silky smooth, the coverage is medium to full and it’s very build able without you looking cakey. I will be doing a review of this next month so definitely look out for that if you are interested.
I don’t do these often but as I haven’t been posting regularly I thought why not ease back in with a favourites post. I am actually writing and scheduling for Blogmas! Yes I am again attempting a month long, well 25 days, of posts. Hence why I haven’t been posting much since I failed at blogging everyday during this month.
Right let’s get into what products I’ve been loving this month.
Continuing with the Avon products, when I placed my order I actually qualified for a free gift and one of them was the Gel Finish Nail Enamel in Roses Are Red. I am so impressed with everything about this nail polish. The colour is a beautiful true red, it dries really quickly and needed only two coats. I have been using a top coat with it so it’s been minimal chipping and considering I use my hands constantly for work it does do well.
Now I have been going through a major nude lipstick faze. I once again ordered one from Avon because the advert sucked me in. The girl was wearing their Ultra Colour Molten Melts Lipstick in Sparkling Bronze, it’s not usually a colour I would go for as it’s definitely a browny bronze and it’s really sparkly! I didn’t realise and at first I wasn’t sure but I have found myself wearing it a lot. To go along with it I picked up the Ultra Glimmerstick Lip Liner in Simply Spice as it compliments the lipstick well. I have sometimes just been filling my lips in with this and wearing a small amount of gloss over the top which looks lovely. Sticking with my nudes, lipsticks that is not actual nudes, I grabbed Rimmel’s The Only 1 lipstick in Naughty Nude. This is a beautiful pinky nude which is a lot more wearable day to day and these lipsticks smell really weird but also delicous at the same time! I urge you to go and smell one. I bought this at Morrisons, not Boots but I linked them because it’s easier, as they had them for £5 instead of £6.99.
Last but not least I want to talk about my recent tv series addiction, Gossip Girl, I only watched this after finishing Pretty Little Liars and not having much else to occupy my tv time. And guess what, I love it, I can not stop watching it. I don’t want to keep paying for Netflix because I think I have exhausted all of their shows but I am keeping it purley for Gossip Girl.
Have you tried any of my favourites? Are you a Gossip Girl fan?
