the body shop vitamin e moisture cream 50ml £13
Oh look another Body Shop product review. I need to start shopping elsewhere but whilst I’m still riding this train, I have a mosituriser to talk about. I bought this a few months ago and although I like it, I feel this isn’t the perfect fit for me and if I’m honest I think I like it more than I should because I love the body shop so much.
A few facts about vitamin e, it’s amazing at hydrating your skin, it helps to improve softness and skin texture, the Body Shop says it is ideal for dry skin but is suitable for all skin types. I have combination skin, my t-zone is oily except my for my forehead, I also get dry patches occasionally on my cheeks. After reading a few reviews on the body shop website and their own description of the moisturiser I decided to give it a go.
Firstly this absorbs super quick into the skin and I am able to carry on with the remainder of my morning makeup routine right after. The moisturiser is wonderfully light, it doesn’t feel oily or too thick when applied on the skin. The smell is really pleasant, it reminds me of how my nan smelled as a child, so I feel a little nostalgia when using it.
The reason why I’m not completely sold on this is I’ve broken out a lot since using it, I seem to have a lot more small bumps on my chin and my black heads are more visible than before. I have been using this all over my face when ideally I should just be using this on my forehead and cheeks where I get my dry patches and then using a more suitbale moisturiser for my t-zone.
I do really like the vitamin e moisture cream, it’s a fab skin saviour on dry days and particularly when winter kicks in and your skin freaks out a little. But for me it hasn’t been a particularly clever purchase, however I would like to use it alongside my seaweed day cream to get the best of both worlds.
Have you tried the vitamin e moisture cream?
