The Body Shop Seaweed Facial Wash

seaweed deep cleansing facial wash – the body shop
We have come to end of my The Body Shop seaweed collection and I believe I’ve saved the best until last. I have been trying out facial washes for years to find the best fit for my skin but unfortunately most I have come across are always either too harsh and drying or just don’t leave my skin feeling clean enough. When I came across this on The Body Shop website, and after reading reviews, I thought I had found my holy grail face wash. And boy I was not wrong!
I love this face wash so much so that I have been using it everyday since I bought it and usually I get bored of cleaning my face every night or I simply forget. But I have to say after using this for the last few months my skin feels cleaner than ever, softer and slightly tighter too which I love, which makes it a lot easier to remember to use and I enjoy using it. It feels even more amazing if you use it together with the seaweed exfoliator. Because of my combination/oily skin I only use this on a damp face and use more water on my hands so it lathers and that way I’m not creating too much of a barrier to my skin with the water. I don’t use a huge amount of product either as I find a little goes a long way.
My breakouts have been significantly reduced since using this, I do get the odd one around the time of my period but it is never as aggressive as they were before which is nice. It is perfect for taking makeup off too, if you are lazy like me and just use remover wipes, using this after ensures nothing is left, no panda eyes!
It is almost £10 for 100ml, the lid of the bottle is so crap, it’s hard to open and rather impossible to close but apart from that it is a total gem for the money.
In case you missed them, I have done a review of The Body Shop seaweed exfoliator and the seaweed mattifying day cream if you want to read about them.

Very informative review. Looks like a great product. I am so lazy when it comes to washing my face as well.

Good to hear it's a gem and worth the money – pity about the cap but really that doesn't matter as long as the product works. Thanks for sharing

I am definitely going to give this product a go! I use Liz Earle daily but I do love to use a facial wash/scub/exfoliator once or twice a week. I have normal to dry skin which is also very spot and breakout prone; finding products to eliminate spots and breakouts is so hard! x

I've had horrible breakouts recently, so I may grab some of this to try!

I seem to have more spots now then I ever had in school, grrrr. Might have to try this! X

What does this smell like? I have been breaking out loads lately and would love a new product to try and help my problem skin :(. xx

The only way I can describe it is like a spa swimming pool! Does that make sense probably not! I don't really smell the seaweed but it is a subtle "spa" product smell that is not overpowering, it just smells clean. I suck at describing I'm sorry!

My skin is always quite bad and have often breakouts! I've tried lots of products in the past with not much luck. It's been a while since I visited The Body Shop so maybe a little trip is in order as this products sounds like it's worth the money. Great review
