This post should have been up last week but due to coming down with something and being completely swept off my feet with life, I fell behind. But let’s talk Autumn/Winter accessories, I have always been a fan of autumn/winter styling, the scarves, hats, boots and coats, the options are endless. You can jazz up a simple look with a fancy coat or snazzy scarf. Even your smaller accessories can really give your outfit that added pow too.

And there is nothing that gives you more A/W wow then a wood watch. Women’s watches have come along way from those dainty ones my mum would wear and it’s become cool to have an oversized unique watch on your wrist. I’ve admired Jord watches for a while and seeing a few fellow bloggers feature them on instagram I knew I would love to have one of my own. When they kindly contacted me and asked if I’d like to feature one on Georgia Petite I couldn’t believe my luck. The style I went for was the Franke – Zebrawood and Champagne, it makes such a statement when worn and I love to turn up the sleeves on my coat just so it’s on show more. You’d think that this being made from wood that it would be a little heavy, I can assure you this is so light that I can’t tell I am wearing it. The champagne face contrast beautifully with the wood and makes this such a feminine women’s watch even though it is rather stand outish. Not one watch is the same with Jord watches so you’re guaranteed a one of a kind from them every time.

Boots are crucial for me this time of year and luckily for us all we can grab some absolute crackers to make a statement. I went for a leopard print ankle pair, which I wrote about last month, as my “ooh look at my feet” boots this year and haven’t been disappointed, leopard print is back with a bang accessory wise. The knee high boots have blown up all over the high street this Winter too and I have of course been sucked in to thinking I need a pair. So I began my hunt for a pair that fit my petite stature nicely and didn’t give me that stumpy leg look, rather then the desired long slender pins I was after. ASOS, as always, came to the rescue and I found a pair that were actually over the knee, they end just above and go up the thigh. They slim my legs down so nicely and I have been wearing these non stop with skirts, dresses and jeans. I then picked up a back up pair in the Black Friday sale as I never want to be without them, does anyone else do this?

When it comes to scarves they have to be giant, I am only 4ft 11 but I make the most of all the extra material on an oversized scarf. I typically wear mine just thrown over the shoulder much like the photos here and if it is super big I can use it as a blanket, because who doesn’t like a portable blanket?  And H&M are doing some fantastically soft ombre scarves right now, I would very much like to get my hands on one before this weather gets to the minus in the day. I’ve also been lusting after the double pom pom hats, if you haven’t seen they look almost Mickey Mouse-esque and very cute.

I’ve added a few bits below, including the hat mentioned above, that I am lusting after but also accessories that are perfect for this time of year. Let’s keep warm eh? Don’t forget to check out Jord Wood Watches for yourself or for someone who loves their timepieces, they do men’s, woman’s or unisex watches in so many wonderful styles, so there really is something for everyone.

What’s your go to accessory for A/W?

I love the wooden effect watches they’re so unusual. I don’t really have a go to A/W accessory as I tend to wear the same things through most of the year, but almost always my Doc Marten boots x

Hi, Georgia. First of all, it’s how you wear your clothes, how they are a good match for you, that hides that you’re a tad under 5′ and that is a compliment. As always, you look good and something that I have not seen with my own eyes are wood watches. I find it fascinating and have all question running in my head, for instance, how do you clean it up and does it get scratched? Anyway, take care and keep being fabulous.
