Keeping it Casual in Heeled Brogues

Happy Wednesday everyone, how are we all doing? I wanted to sit down and write this post around 5 hours ago, it’s now 2am, so I have managed to procrastinate like a pro. I’ve actually been trying to find my dad a Christmas present, why are they so hard to buy for?! I also did my nails which seems to take me forever. But at least I am here writing post 1 of 8 that I have in my draft box.

biker jacket, scarf, jumper, shirt & trousers – h&m, bag – monki via asos, shoes – asos

I mentioned a few posts ago that I found some beautiful shoes on ASOS, well they didn’t look as fantastic on me as I thought, so I picked up something entirely different and entirely perfect. I couldn’t wait to wear them so I decided to style them with a rather casual but preppy outfit. I love mixing navy and black together and I’ve had this cute jumper tucked away in my wardrobe for a while and it works as a great cover up for my really sheer shirt.
It seems 2015 has been the year of the brogue for me and I went from having no pairs to four, currently there aren’t any I desperately want so I think I have fulfilled my need. But who knows what 2016 will hold for this love affair. The newest addition are patent, pointy with a little heel, gorgeousness. I really love how androgynous these are yet still incredibly feminine! I think these would look perfect with dresses and it kind of makes me want to buy some just so I have an excuse to wear these shoes all the time.
Another wonderful buy this year has been my grey biker jacket, I featured it in a want list a few weeks ago and since then I couldn’t get it out of my head. It’s a wonderful wool mix and is very warm, I made the mistake of wearing it on a day that rained and I reeked like a wet sheep, I’ve learnt my lesson. This jacket goes with a lot and it’s a nice way of easy into a biker style outerwear without committing to something a lot more expensive than the £39.99 price tag of this H&M beauty.
Oh one more thing ignore how bright my skin looks in the last photo, I’m not that pale, I don’t glow! haha!
Do you like the heeled brogues?
It’s the last day to enter my Yankee Candle Advent House Giveaway so scurry on over there to be in with a chance.

I do love these brogues and I have seen some similar ones, but I am not sure they suit me, which might not make sense, but I might just have to admire from afar x

Very smart shoes, and very useful to go with either a skirt or trousers. I really like your jacket too – warm, but perfect for running round in.
