I have been wanting to show a complete collection of my shoes and thought what better way to start then with my favourite style … trainers. This is how my trainer collection currently stands, five pairs and probably five pretty popular brands too. I have always been a self confessed sneaker lover and nothing please my feet more than slipping them into a new pair of fresh kicks.
These have been a blogger favourite for some time now, I used to own a pair when I was a kid and loved them then as much as I do now. Apart from them being a coveted pair they’re also a really comfy trainer, perfect for us girls with wider feet. They look fantastic with a simple outfit like jeans and a t-shirt. You could even wear them to dress down a smarter look for instance a crisp white shirt and tailored trousers. Before buying these in adult sizes and paying the huge price tag, try looking in the kid’s section as they usually go up to a size 5 in Adidas child sizes, you could save yourself a pretty penny.
Now Superga’s are a brand I hadn’t heard of until the beginning of this year and I’ve not idea why because they are a brilliant simple trainer to style with absolutely anything. The branding on them isn’t overly obvious which is why they’re so easy to pair with a cute floral dress, which is my favoured way to wear them. They are a little on the wide side though, I sized down to a 3.5, I’m usually a 4. They do give you really long laces with these which I’m guessing is because people like to tie the laces up the leg, check out the fashioncitizen girls if you’re not familiar with this. They are a canvas sneaker and similar to the Van Authentics but in my opinion these are better. I’ve been eyeing up a pink and grey pair too and for some reason Superga’s seem to always be on sale, which is a bonus.
Converse All Stars
hat can I say about these iconic sneakers, I’ve been a converse fan since my late teens and have owned many a pair. I love this black pair so much, they seem to get better with age, this pair are a year old now and still look pretty new. If I am going on a long walk I’ll wear these as they are just so easy to walk in, really comfy, easy to chase after the dog in!! I take a size 4 in converse, I used to be a 3.5 but my feet grew after having Rose, weird right???
Converse High Tops
Me and high tops have a love/hate relationship, I love them how I have styled the, above but if I wore shorts or a dress with them they’d make my legs look ten times fatter, well to me they do. Nevertheless I love them, they make any outfit cool and keep the ankles very warm on those colder days, they are a nice alternative to boots. I bought Rose a matching pair because I’m that kind of mum. Again I bought these in a size 4.
These are the most battered pair I have and I don’t think I have allowed a pair of shoes to get this mucky and used since I was a teenager, when I would run my sneakers into the ground before I got a new pair. I use my new balance for working out and walking the dog, they’re the comfiest sneakers, well the 996’s are anyway. I had a pair of 420’s but they just were not right, if you want a good pair of walking shoes then these are the best. I got these off eBay for a bargain well over a year ago and they are still going strong.
Do you own any of the same pairs, are you a trainers fan??
