Yay for turtleneck weather, I have finally got all my winter warmers out and washed just in time for this bitterly cold weather we’ve been having. The first leaves have begun to fall and the trees are beginning to go the beautiful browns and reds that we associate autumn with, this time of year makes me so much more relaxed than any other.
Although I have got to do a lot in the next few months, Rose’s 2nd birthday is just over 5 weeks away and I haven’t done any shopping or preparation. This year we aren’t doing anything special, I mean doing something extravagant for a 2 year old is silly as she isn’t going to really remember it, so I am saving on money until she is asking for bowling parties or a disco!! The same applies with presents, I’m going small again, she has a lot of toys since my mum gave up childminding but she has such an active imagination that I’ve decided to get her some more fake food, Early Learning Centre have a wonderful wooden range, a few of those will be ordered in the next few weeks. I also want to get her some new books, she loves the “That’s not my …” series, a duck one is definitely in my amazon basket as she has an obsession with them.
Onto my outfit, I think it’s easy to fall into the trap of being warm but not adventurous and I am certainly guilty of this, especially in autumn and winter. That’s why my Asos brogues have been my most out there but sensible purchase this year. They make any outfit for me and the one above is a prime example, it’s not particularly interesting but I think the red lip and shoes bring it to life. Oh and excuse my blurry head in the full shots, I rushed because the light was fading, hopefully future shots will be better.
Are you enjoying the cooler weather?
