I have been browsing specifically for my holiday but also seen a few bits that could switch up my wardrobe and take me out of my simple jeans and t-shirt combos. I have compiled my top picks and want to share them with you in the hope of some inspiration and to show you what Zalando has to offer.
Zalando was never a site that was on my radar until about a month ago and now I feel as though I have missed out. I’ve ordered twice from them and not been disappointed with the service, their deliver is fast and free (UK site that is). They have some top brands on their site including New Look, Dorothy Perkins, Bik Bok and even premium ones too like Filippa K, Calvin Klein and Miu Miu to name a few.
Not my usual style because it’s a dress!!! But I have been really drawn to these floaty, boho vibe dresses lately and this one will be perfect for my holiday in June. Plus I think it would look fabulous with the converse. The colour is also gorgeous and with a tan it would look really pretty.
I have been on a hunt for some brown sandals for a while and these are right up my street, there is zero fuss, they are minimal and I really love the cross over front. They also just look quite comfy, last year I took a pair of super flat, hard soled sandals on holiday and I wore them everyday. I walked miles in them yet my feet didn’t ache so I would think judging by the sole on these that they’d be the same.
A pair of smart (ish) shorts is essential in any ladies wardrobe and this striped pair are a nice mix of smart casual. I really love the tone of blue on them, it’s not in your face which would make these perfect to wear day or night. The overlapping fabric on the front of shorts is really what drew me to them, I like that they trick you into thinking they’re a skort from some angles. And the length on them seems reasonable, Zalando give you measurements of the models so you can kind of gage the sizes better, which is very helpful.
I need a decent pair of denim shorts this summer, I was seriously lacking in this department last year and I went into Gap’s outlet store in Swindon and fell in love with a few but came away empty handed. Seeing these on Zalando has solidified my need for some, I really like the raw hem on this pair and they looked fantastic on the model. I would size up though as I find denim shorts to be a little too figure hugging for my taste. The indigo wash is gorgeous and they aren’t high waisted unlike a lot of shorts seem to be on the high street and online, why is that?
Another boho themed piece but this time a blouse, I am in love with the colour, they called it vintage indigo on the website and for some reason has meant I have fallen in love with this top even more. I think this would look great with the gap shorts and a pair of converse or even some sand coloured boots. I am loving the 3/4 length bell sleeves and it’s not usually a style I go for but an exception is made for this one. I really want to get a few more floaty tops and this is top of my list.
Would it be a wish list of mine without a jumper? I need this asap!! Stripes always draw me in and even though the jumper is rather minimal the colours really bring it to life. This is the perfect piece for spring and even for the British summer. The popcorn effect is really interesting and would add a different dynamic to an outfit.
Last but not least a pair of Converse, if you don’t know already I am a trainers hoarder. I haven’t had a pair of high tops in years but I recently bought Rose the exact same pair and now I want my own. I honestly think white converse are the most versatile shoe and you can wear them with everything, they’re effortless cool.
There we have my picks from the Zalando website for the spring but mainly summer season, have you spotted anything you like? Do you shop at Zalando?
