5 Photo Apps That Every Blogger Needs

I was thinking of doing an overall “What’s on my iPhone” post but then I realised it would probably be more useful to someone out there, maybe you, to do a top 5 of apps from categories that are essential/interesting to me as a blogger. I can not live without photo apps, for actually taking the photo or editing so below are my top 5 photo apps that I believe every blogger needs.

1. Moldiv: A great app for combining multiple photos into collages, it even lets you add filters and text to the collages. I really love this for facebook and twitter. They have some really fun frames to choose from including triangular, circular and heart shaped ones.

2. Photo Editor: This is possibly my most used for editing, I love how easy it is and it’s got quite a lot of features for a free app. It includes tools such as blur, blemish and whiten plus your standard photo editing tools. The app does feature frames, filters and also something called overlays which turns your photos into pretty shapes.

3.  VSCOcam: I think one of the most famous app, especially for serial instagram users. What I love the most about VSCOcam is it allows you to see the edited and non edited versions of your photo. This for me is a huge plus in my book and I wish other photo apps would take notice, I’m a sucker for a before and after. The filters are amazing too but I’m yet to buy any extra ones, maybe I’ll wait until I can establish myself a bit more on instagram.

4. Instasize: Pretty self explanatory, if your photo is too big for instagram and you don’t want to crop it, then simply instasize it. This was actually the first ever app I bought because of instagram and it is still a firm favourite.

5. Afterlight: Last but most certainly not least, I have only just discovered this afterlight and I am so bloody impressed. It is like having Photoshop in your pocket. I can see this becoming a much used app in the future right now I’m just trying to figure out where all the editing tools are.

Have you any favourite photo apps or ones I need to get?

this is really useful as I need some more photo apps. My most used is PicTapGo as it makes sharing to Instagram, Twitter or Tumblr so super fast and easy.

Ooh, I've not tried any of these! I definitely need to look into Instasize as I hate cropping photos for Instagram and would love to make it easier 🙂

I've just downloaded the three of these I didn't have already! Because I don't own a proper camera, I'm always looking for apps to try and make my phone-quality images look a little better. Thanks for sharing your secrets!

There are so many apps available so someone recommending a tried and tested app them is a good idea and very useful.

Fabulous post! I'll have to check some of these apps out, I do have Afterlight, it is like photoshop in your pocket! Picfx is a good 'un too, lots of bokeh available if you're into that sort of stuff 🙂

I'll definitely have to check out some of these, I usually just use Instagram on its own but it would be good to do different things with it.

Aww hey Penny!!! Glad I could help you out, I know what you mean, when you don't have a snazzy camera it can be difficult but I think the iPhone's, with the right apps, have the capability of being better than a camera! I'm going to be honest, I am really struggling with the transition from iPhone to camera … We need to bond properly so I am still using my phone loads! … I have rambled so much.

Yeah I used to until I found better editing apps, I'm not so much into the collages anymore or fancy filters but to get better lighting or fix a blemish some of these apps are useful.
