Teami Teatox | Week 1

Hello from my very sunny but overgrown garden, I was loving the beautiful weather over the weekend, it’s still warm today but the clouds have taken over. It’s now been a week since I began my Teami Teatox journey and it’s time to do a little update.

How does Teami Teatox 30 days pack* work? You drink a Teami Skinny tea every morning before breakfast, you can have more than one a day, which is now what I am doing. Then every other night you drink a Teami Colon tea right before you go to bed, you’ll see in my diary below why this is super important to do before bed time. The skinny tea comes in a loose dried leaf form which you can use in a special tumbler for teas or like me, use an infuser, which I bought from the Teami website. The colon tea comes in a tea bag, you get 15 of them in the packet for the 30 days.

I started making a diary of sorts here during the week and that’s how I will continue to do these posts, a line or two for every day in the week about how it’s going. This week is probably the most dramatic as I’m new to it all. No more rambling, here is how I got on during week 1.

Monday 2nd MayI like the smell of the skinny tea and it’s really novel filling the infuser with the tea leaves, I just add a teaspoon which doesn’t look a lot but they will expand I guess. The taste isn’t my favourite so I let it cool for a few minutes and just downed the whole thing.
Tuesday 3rd May – Today I let the tea sit for 5 minutes and added honey to sweeten it up a little. It went down a little easier but I’m still not feeling the taste. I do feel that I have a little more energy and just feel a lot less sluggish. It’s 10pm and I am just about to go to bed but before I do I’m having a colon tea, the taste is amazing. I let the bag sit for about 2 mins and no added honey needed. I sipped this whilst reading a book in bed. Delightful tea.
Wednesday 4th May – I woke up with cramps around 7.30am and knew exactly what it was, the colon tea working it’s magic. I then made myself a skinny tea and let that sit whilst I got ready for the day. Between 8am and 10am I had two bowel movements which I was expecting, the second time I had to rush, haha TMI?? As I was off work today, I have had two more skinny teas and because of the colon tea I decided to stay in.
Thursday 5th May – I managed two skinny teas today and I am enjoying the taste a little more, I put less honey in today. I feel a lot less bloated than usual and my energy levels are improving. Second night for the colon tea, looking forward to the taste not the cramps in the morning, I had to take this a little earlier tonight as I start work at 9.30am and don’t need to be rushing to the loo. I had my cup around 8pm and went to bed around 10pm, fingers crossed my timing is right.
Friday 6th May – I had perfect timing, woke up around 6.30 with cramps and only had to use the loo abruptly once before work. I drank my skinny tea really quick without honey this morning, I’m getting more used to it. My cramps from the colon tea were short lived and I had no troubles at work. I came home around 3pm and had another skinny tea.
Saturday 7th May – I start work really early today, 8.30, that’s early for me on a Saturday. I was up at 6.30, I had a lot to do this morning like shower, washing hair so left my tea to brew whilst I had that. I did have to add a little honey this morning and drank it steadily as I got ready. I came home around 2pm and had another tea the moment I got in. I had my colon tea really early again as we are off to see family tomorrow.
Sunday 8th May – I was up at 7.30am, had slight cramps which lasted all of 20 minutes, I had a trip to the loo and that was it for the effects of the colon tea, they are getting a little easier to cope with. I had my morning skinny tea with a little honey again. We were out all day but I wanted a skinny tea when I got home, I left it to cool and had it with a little ice as it was baking hot today. It tasted alright but I think I prefer it hot. It’s four days until I am due on my period and I am usually pretty bloated on a Sunday but so far I have none and my skin looks a lot clearer than it was a week ago.
Weekly Round Up
I am really loving this detox kit, the colon tea is my favourite taste wise, but the sudden bowel movements are a little uncomfortable. I am feeling more energised and my cravings have curbed, I’m not grazing anymore. I have always eaten little but now I have been having breakfast, lunch and dinner but no snacks. I am seeing a difference in my body already, I’m no longer bloated, I have lost a little weight around my waist, my love handles are decreasing and my thighs look a little more slender. I am also doing my POP pilates beginner’s calendar again, not every day but four days out of seven and I am doing a two hour dog walk everyday. All of this plus the Teami teas are really helping me feel amazing about my body and I can already feel and see a huge difference.

I love tea as well but I do not drink the slimming ones. I prefer green tea. I fancy how each cup warms my tummy in the morning

I am a tea drinker and i believe in its power to help reduce some weight. Your decision to create a journal to record your progress or anything that might happen is wise and helpful.

I like your style of weekly update! How long do you keep your colon bag in? I do for literally 30 seconds, then removing tea bag (that I re-use next day) I dont get cramps and I normally use toilet without any nasty surprises 🙂

Thanks, I keep it in for about 2 mins, I think I just have a sensitive stomach, I will give it a go for 30 secs and love the idea of using it for a second time.

Love the honesty, it is unfortunate that you are getting pain but glad it was a little better by the end of it.

Teas are good. I like green tea myself. Benefits are more marketing though, because you do have to drink a lifetime to realize the benefits especially on slimming ones. For detox, keep this in mind always. There are ingredients in teas (some) that can help in detox. However, remember too that tea leaves contain far more ingretients/materials that has to be flushed out too.

I feel like I am really close to you now that we have discussed your bowel movements! I actually have looked at teas like this and have wondered how they were and so finally my questions are answered! Thanks for being the guinea pig. Do you think you will continue the tea?

Interesting to do a tea detox! I've never done one. I'm a little nervous about the idea of the colon tea because I go to work early so the timing might be bad. But it's nice to know you think it works!
