It’s here, I can’t quite believe I finally have a camera and I am beyond excited, there will be no more low quality images on Georgia Petite. The delivery guy was greeted by my crazy/excited face as I snatched the box from him and signed my life away in such haste that it was just a bunch of scribbles on his pad.
So what did I actually buy? I got the Samsung NX3000 20.3mp in black. It came with a 20-50mm lens which is pretty good and I’m already eyeing up a few more lenses I want. You get a handy strap which I won’t be putting on until we go to Hungary in September and also the flash which is external.
I’ve played around with this for about an hour so far and I am so impressed with it, the images are crisp and the camera itself is so easy to use, the flip out screen is really cool but I can’t see it being something I will use often. I mentioned before that the flash is external, which I did worry about before buying but after using it, I don’t think it will be much of an issue. I love the exterior, a lot of people expressed their dislike of the faux leather look but I like it, it makes the camera feel vintage and when you have the flash on the top & the lens on it does feel that way.

As you can see from the two photos they are really nice quality, well compared to my iPhone they are. I am waiting for an SD card to arrive, I thought I had one that fit at home but alas I don’t, so after a panic I ordered a 16gb which should be enough space to begin with.
I will try and do a proper review in a month or so after using this more. But for now I am so happy that I can finally have beautiful crisp photos.
What do you think of the Samsung NX3000? What camera do you use for your blog or life in general?

This is useful read as I am on a lookout for a DSLR and I was only considering Canon and Nikon, but now may be I will keep this in mind too.
